Welcome to the website of Reading Christian Network

welcome

Welcome to the Reading Christian Network (RCN) website. RCN is a growing group of church leaders, charity leaders and leaders of organisations who passionately believe that our unity in Jesus Christ is critical if we are to experience whole-life transformation across our towns and cities. We are certain we cannot effect the mission of Jesus to make disciples of everyone, on our own. God has poured some amazing resources into our town and together we will make a difference as we welcome God's Kingdom everywhere. At the heart of RCN is a weekly prayer gathering for leaders who are endorsed by their churches and organisations. This takes place at Greyfriars Church in Friar Street, Reading - every Wednesday morning from 8-9am.

Why unity is crucial

Picture

At our  Leaders Prayer Breakfast, Steve Goss (Freedom in Christ International) spoke and challenged us to think about the things we are praying for. Sometimes we can find ourselves praying about matters that God has given us authority to 'get on with.' One of the key prayers in the New Testament is Jesus' prayer for unity. Unity is THE context where God commands blessing and as we get on with preaching the gospel and making disciples, God's blessing and fruitfulness flows when we live and partner in genuine, relational unity.

Our next leaders prayer breakfast is on Wednesday morning 3rd October 2018 from 8am-10am at The Pavilion, home of Lifespring Church, Reading. The cost for a full english breakfast is £10, payable on the day. The first hour of our time together will be spent eating and relating together. The second hour will include worship, thanksgiving and prayer, and we'll be hearing from Vernon Orr who is soon retiring from his church leadership role in South Reading.  You do need to book in for breakfast by emailing:
